Macao Beach in Punta Cana is a Hidden Gem
Macao Beach is normally a calm and peaceful place that you should visit once in your next visit to Punta Cana. Well, other people go there but you still can have your nice time without hundreds and hundreds of tourists.
Although not as famous as the Bavaro Beach, Macao was declared by the UNESCO, part of the most beautiful beaches of all Caribbean.
It is one of the few beaches not surrounded directly by hotels, but there are hotels close so it is possible to stay and enjoy this beautiful gem early in the morning.
If you are a surfer, you will love it, it has became very popular spot where you can find good waves, one of the best of all coast. But even if you don’t surf, you can have a magnificent time relaxing on the white and shiny sand while having a swim or just staring at the lucid blue waters of the amazing ocean.
There are some places to eat nearby, some restaurants with local and international food that you could either walk or take a taxi. If you fell adventurous, it’s very common for tourists to ride a buggy or a four wheels car to get there through the dunes.

"Beautiful white sand and blue waters. Great for enjoying the weather, a little fun in the sun, and learning to boogie board as I did"

"We visited here while on the dune buggies. The water is great. The locals were super friendly. Since we were dirty from drying it was a pleasure to just walk into the water. We will go there again."
