Pipa, Rio Grande do Norte – Brazil

Located in Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, Pipa was a small fishing village till the 70s.  Discovered by backpackers and surfers attracted by the crystal-clear waters, 10-meter-high vertical cliffs with impressive views, fine white sand dunes and warm weather all year around.

Pipa has something for everyone, from calm waters to surf these group of 12 beaches can be explored on a buggy, canoe or horse rides along the Atlantic forest trails. The vibrant village is also cosmopolitan having a great nightlife that attracts people all over the world. With restaurants and shops all to die for,  the village can get really crowded at times. The town is safe and friendly.

During the day tourist can enjoy snacks and drinks at the beach, with a highlight to the local coconut water and fresh fish. Another local food you might want to try is the “Caldinho” served hot in a cup, caldinho is like a soup made of seafood that is usually consumed with beer at the beach. You can choose spend your day swimming in the warm waters, surfing, enjoying boat rides, walking tracks, kitesurfing or simply relaxing watching the dolphins that come to close to the beach very often.
